Council Member Tom Rasmussen Tours Aurora Ave N. Traffic Safety Issues
On June 28 Seattle City Council Member Tom Rasmussen walked a part of Aurora Ave. N with local residents, to see some of the safety challenges for pedestrians there. Richard Dyksterhuis invited CM Rasmussen to the area. The first stop was a postive note, to look at the new sidewalk on the north side of N 125th St., built this year using Bridging The Gap funds. Then the group walked to Brainworks Clubhouse , in the Provail Building on the northeast corner of Aurora Ave. N and N 125th St. They talked and walked on North Aurora Avenue with Director Erin Rants, about the problems that patients have walking along Aurora. Other safety issues along Aurora were also discussed before CM Rasmussen finished the tour.
