Arts Integration at Christ the King Catholic School

Recently two articles from the Seattle Times on April 7, 2013 have highlighted the integration  of the arts – music and art throughout the curriculum of an elementary school.  For years researchers have known that math, science, and technology instruction is enhanced by a strong integration of music and art in the curriculum.  Christ the King, located in the heart of Broadview, offers a strong art and music program as well as a solid core academic curriculum in math, science, and English/language arts.  CKS has dedicated art and music teachers who instruct Preschool through 8th Grade.  Classroom teachers work with music, art, and technology to integrate these subjects throughout the students learning day.  CKS has limited enrollment opportunities for the 2013-2014 school year.  For more information contact Christ the King at www.ckseattle.org.
